About Kylie
Kylie Howlett is a multi-disciplinary emerging illustrator and artist with an attraction to the industrial art practices of print making; airbrush and digital illustration.
From an early age, Kylie had a passion for art. Her work produced during her secondary schooling were featured in exhibitions in Carclew and later in galleries on the Fleurieu Peninsula. During the early 2000’s she volunteered as assistant curator and event organiser with the Arts Centre in the township of Goolwa. In addition, she worked in direct partnership with recognised South Australian artist Michael Tye to create the centrepiece of the Country Arts SA Regional Conference: the opening parade’s Rainbow Serpent.
After several years away from the creative community, she completed an advanced course in Airbrush techniques in 2012 which resulted in her work being featured around the country. In 2016 Kylie returned to the University of South Australia to complete a Bachelor Degree in Contemporary Art with a grade point average surpassing 6.5. At present, she is expanding her practice to include a second Bachelor Degree in Illustration and Animation.
She is available for anything from illustration; logo design; custom clothing design; large scale wall murals; custom airbrushing; portraiture and just about anything in between.
